Michele Ashe is the sole proprietor of Van Gogh & Vino located in Augusta, Georgia. She is a local artist from Evans, Georgia and graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science degree in Art Education. After graduating from UGA, Michele taught art at Burke County High School in Waynesboro, Georgia and at Chattahoochee Elementary School in Duluth, Georgia. After seven years of teaching, Michele decided to pursue other interests in art and small business.
In 2010, Michele was able to combine her love of teaching art with her entrepreneurial spirit and launched her art teaching studio, Van Gogh and Vino. She began offering canvas painting classes on a part-time basis until she had the opportunity to operate the business exclusively beginning in March 2012.
Meet the Van Gogh and Vino Art Instructor's and Studio Mascot!
I'm from New Jersey but have lived in Washington State, California and North Carolina. My husband and I recently relocated to Grovetown with our 3 dogs. I spend most of my time painting, cooking and loving my dogs.
Beckett is the studio mascot and will be 16 in July, 2019! He loves sitting with customers while they paint and posing for pictures!
Originally from Charleston, SC, Lauren always enjoyed crafts and painting. Lauren holds a degree in Healthcare Administration but found Art to be her calling. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family (3 boys) and friends, watching her oldest play baseball and being crafty. Lauren loves meeting new people, interacting with and teaching customers at Van Gogh & Vino and can’t wait to teach you!
